The holidays will be here before you know it, and this year everyone could use a little extra holiday cheer! Start thinking now about what promotions and marketing materials your business will be using this year.

1. Host a giveaway with the most popular holiday item or a new item

Who doesn’t love free things? I know I am guilty of tagging my friends in my favorite business’s contests so I can try to win what they are giving away.

Hosting a giveaway early in the season can start a buzz about your product and get people talking about your product as a holiday gift! Giving a limited number of these products away on social media and having entrants tag a few friends will get the word out about this great gift!

2. Send out e-blasts

Keep your customer’s in the loop with e-blasts! These are great for letting them know about any donation drives, specials, or updated hours your business may have this season.

3. Promote Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday deals on social media and your website

I know it is a tradition in my family to plan out our Black Friday shopping route on Thanksgiving Day right after dinner. We read all the ads in the paper while enjoying a slice of apple pie and scope out the best deals!

Let your customers know what specials you will be having on these popular holiday shopping days so they don’t miss out. Email marketing, social media ads, and paper ads are a great way to get them the information they need!

4. Advertise products as stocking stuffers

If you’re like me, the last items I think about when purchasing holiday gifts are stocking stuffers. Most of the time it’s because I can never figure out what to buy. Get a list of products together that are the perfect stocking stuffer ideas to help out all of those last-minute shoppers. Send it out in an e-blast to your subscribers or send out a mailer.

5. Can’t celebrate with your customers? Send them a thoughtful gift

If you can’t mingle in person with your customers this year due to coronavirus, send them a gift that shows them you are thinking of them! Gift baskets and customized gift sets are the perfect items to send.

This holiday season may be a tad different with coronavirus still at large, but it can still be memorable for all! The shopping season comes earlier every year, and this year won’t be any different. Get your deals out as soon as you have finalized them, create contests, and be sure to reach out to AG Marketing Solutions if you need help on e-blasts, social media marketing, promotional products, and more!
