This creates a sense of relatability, making it feel realistic and achievable for all. Skims posts photos and TikTok videos of all different women reviewing and wearing the products. The brand also maintains a simplistic, sleek, natural look that projects the shapewear’s wide range of skin colors and tones, drawing in customers through appealing visuals and inclusive options displayed on their social channels.  

Cava  

Cava is a popular, up-and-coming Mediterranean food chain. What makes their social media stand out from their competition is their fun, colorful, and fresh aesthetic. Their posts are very lighthearted and simplistic, and they perfectly communicate the freshness, colorfulness, and deliciousness of their food. These lighthearted posts about their products and their brand as a whole exude joy, creating a sense of happiness in viewers. They also post from the point of view of real customers, which shows that the quality of the product is real and their food not only looks good but tastes good too. 

MadHappy  

MadHappy is a lifestyle clothing brand that works to destigmatize conversations around mental health not only through their clothing, but especially through their social media. Their social media platforms have a vintage film feel with pops of color throughout their attire. They also post a lot of mental health quotes and resources, something that is at the forefront of almost all of their social media campaigns. This creates a sense of community that people are drawn to and want to be a part of.  MadHappy does this too in a playful nature, making serious issues easier to talk about. With an emphasis on showing diversity in their social media posts, MadHappy creates a sense of belonging because it shows that the brand is marketed to and for everyone.  

The biggest takeaway from looking at these four brands’ successful social media marketing tactics is that staying true to your brand, its mission, and aesthetic is what will launch your brand into social media success. Social media is meant to be fun and draw people in quickly through visuals and relatability.
